Noble the best uncapped English Premier League player
There were so many things for West Ham fans to enjoy at Upton Park. The spectacle of Louis van Gaal putting Marouane Fellaini up front, as the Premier League’s favourite total football egghead stuck the big man up top in a last attempt to break down Sam Allardyce’s short-passing Hammers. The speed and combination play of Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho. Not to mention the general fluency of a team that, like Manchester United, is also in transaction (sic) . Best of all, though, was the performance of a player who has been at Upon Park for 15 years, and who was the steadiest midfielder on either side. Aged 27, Mark Noble still seems to be on a gradual upward curve. An astute, robust central midfielder, Noble is surely the best uncapped English Premier League player around right now. Indeed, of the team Noble captained to the final of the 2009 Uefa under-21 championships, nine others have played for England (Joe Hart, Theo Walcott, Fraizer Campbell, Kieran Gibbs, Micah Richards, Jack Rodwell, Gabriel Agbonlahor, James Milner, Adam Johnson) while Noble has still to make the squad. A lack of speed is perhaps the only real weakness in his game. Against this he offers intelligence, fine passing and defensive solidity. Noble may or may not get a call from here or indeed end up declaring for Ireland. What is certain is he is having a moment of grace after two fine seasons, a player of quiet craft performing at his peak, and the type who can make a more diffuse, expensively assembled team click together. He will never be capped for England but to be fair to him there's a few plodders in that U21 squad who did.

Good player plays well most weeks and gets some recognition in the press, so what happens he gets stick from his own, brilliant.

Was exactly what I thought scaning those names.
As much as I don't think Noble is good enough for England, there is definitely a load of old shit who have got caps ahead of him purely because of who they play for.
Cleverley being the most obvious and in fact that utter cunt has 13 fucking caps. That stat alone shows why England will never amount to anything, as all squads are now picked by who you play for and not how you are performing.

I think Noble is a hard working and committed team man. Hes not really very good though. More of a nuisance player he gets and gives the ball ok but lacks any real vision or craft. Sometimes he seems to just click and gets on the ball a lot more and the fact that he runs all day means that in games that have opened up late on he can be impactful. He was good yesterday. Not outstanding, just good.
